Just like in my personal life, what matters most to me in a professional environment is community and having genuine connections. My hometown is Eureka, California. A personal goal of mine is health, wellness, and fitness. Artistic growth is a professional goal of mine. I strive to do more art shows in the community and eventually sell prints of my original illustrations. My hobbies are drawing, crafts, yoga, cycling, dance, and sewing. I'm a skilled organizer, artist, and vegetarian cook. I started A to Z in 2017.

20 years at A to Z Eye Care have flown by and yet so much has happened in that time! My being here with A to Z has helped me to grow professionally and to really get to know the patients in our community. The people of Humboldt County really are special! And I cannot say enough about the people I work with. I love spending my days with such amazing coworkers. It has also been the perfect fit for me while I focus on family. Seeing my kids growing up in this community brings me some much joy. When we are not busy with kids and all of our critters at home, I love reading, adventuring outside, listening to music and bubble baths... I've been focusing on appreciating all those little things that make life special.

I was born in Tennessee and raised in the East Bay Area of California. I received both my undergraduate degree and my Master's in Business Administration from Cal Poly Humboldt. I am certified as an Advanced Certified Paraoptometric. These days I spend most of my time behind the scenes and I am most happy when I get to connect with patients... either new faces at A to Z or from over the years and decades!

As native to Humboldt County, I enjoy sharing my expertise in the health and wellness field with our community. I strive to connect with people in a respectful, understanding and compassionate manner. I appreciate a balanced life with friends, and family exploring our beautiful area. And lots of laughter! I’m eager to continue to learn and grow both in my personal and professional life. I began my role at A to Z Eye Care just before the New Year in December of 2021.

My hometown is Mckinleyville. I like working with people so I am glad I have a job that lets me serve my community. Everyone deserves good vision! A personal goal is learning another language, I love to travel. My professional goal is to be a better puzzle solver, when someone has a struggle with their glasses, I want to be able to solve it. I am resident meme queen, I always have a clever gif for an email. I LOVE reading so good glasses are a must! I am very good at shopping for frames, when a rep comes to show us frames I am first in line. I started at A to Z Eye Care in May of 2021.

I grew up in Mckinleyville and I am the youngest of 3 brothers. An avid gamer and occasional disc golfer. I am a filmmaker, having earned a degree in film from HSU, and love movies, especially anything science fiction. I enjoy fixing/solving things as well and hope to expand on that aspect of myself wherever I am. I started here in October of 2022, and want to do my best to help provide excellent care for our patients and their needs. Working here has helped me care for myself, my two cats Miloh and Eddie, as well as help fund my filmmaking career and gaming hobby.

I grew up in the Bay Area and have been living in Arcata for 6 years. I like to approach life curiously, playfully, and creatively. Through conversation with each other, the world and ourselves there is so much to discover! I am an artist to the core, and through my art I hope to apply what I learn to guide others toward self-discovery, healing, and sweetness. I’m trying to do this through community radio, graphic art, poetry, and video projects. Creativity, connection, and cooking are my main passions. I love to stay active at the gym, in nature and the yoga studio. I'm also really good at spotting banana slugs in the forest. I started here Spring 2023.

I grew up in Eureka, after being born in Mississippi. Caring for people has always been very important to me, and throughout my life I've volunteered for multiple places in our community to try to make a difference! I love being here at A to Z, as I feel I'm able to help the community with my work as well. I love to learn, which is another thing I love about being here, as there are so many different aspects of the office to learn! I reached a personal goal of mine recently by publishing a novel, so my next goal is to publish more of them. I love writing, reading, spending time with my family, and anything to do with crafting such as crocheting, and painting! I started here at A to Z in October of 2023.

I am from Long Beach, California, LBC! What matters most is being able to be kind, welcoming and to be a resource. I do like being social so it is really fun to get to interact with people all the time. My goal would be to trek on a long road trip across all 50 states and to travel outside the country. I would love to visit Scotland to see the coos coos, highland cows! Possibly even have my own cow in the future. And my personal goal is to be better today than I was yesterday. A professional goal is to return to school, get my masters degree perhaps in admin, I want to work with higher education. I want to be an advisor helping students get to college and stay in college, kind of like a mentor. Right now I love being outdoors, hiking is my biggest fun thing, especially with friends. I am learning a new sport which is challenging and fun and my partner is teaching me photography. I love music and art so I try to incorporate those when I'm outdoors as well. I love driving out to the Arcata bottoms and hanging out with the cows. I just started going back to the gym and I am learning to love cardio. People tell me I am really good at being social, friendly, and reliable. I feel I am pretty good at cooking, when I want to cook, ha ha! I’m pretty good at multitasking as well! And napping, te he! I started A to Z in January of 2023 and it has been so much fun, I have been able to really grow with my team and I have made friends with my coworkers and acquaintances with patients. It has been a joy and a privilege working here. I have been able to learn a lot about optometry and the community!

If a thing is worth doing, it is worth doing right is my philosophy. My hometown is La Crescenta, California. A personal goal of mine is to raise my kids to be people who want to make the world a better place. Let’s see, professionally, to do the best job I can on every single pair of glasses. I read a lot and a lot of wood-working projects right now. My expertise is troubleshooting. The first time I started at A to Z was in 2003.

I love seeing community members walk in, making a connection, and re-establishing that connection later on. I grew up rurally in Anderson, CA, and went to high school at West Valley. A personal goal is to grow my family, I love kids! And to learn the piano, my grandma is going to teach me! A professional goal is to learn what makes a business successful. Fancy nails are my passion, I follow multiple nail groups on social media and other hobbies are reading, breweries and sports. I have expertise in swimming and public speaking. I started working for A to Z in April of 2016.

I am here because I love helping people understand their insurance, and make informed decisions. I'm from a very small town called Chinook Montana; home of the Sugarbeeters!. A personal goal is to visit as many state and national parks as possible. Eventually I would like to learn each part of this office, to be a well-rounded paraoptometric. I like to explore the outdoors with my dog and my friends. I'm a rockhounder, and a fossil hunter. I'm passionate about people; love learning new things, I love my family (both related and chosen), and I'm passionate about the sport of wrestling, rawr! I’m good at making people laugh, I live for it. In March of 2022 I started working for A to Z.

My hometown is Hanford, California. I honestly love glasses! I've worn glasses since I was in 7th grade and it never occurred to me this could be a career path until I came to A to Z. What makes me happy is when people walk out of here loving their glasses and they feel confident! I really want to travel more, my goal is to travel abroad. My professional goal is to pass the ABO certification exam and further my education as an Optician. I love theater arts and being creative, as well as lots of arts and crafts. I’ve taken on a new hobby of being a plant mom which is interesting considering I once killed a cactus! My passion is just to enjoy life as much as possible and laugh as much as possible. I am really good at frame selection, you're in good hands with me! I’m knowledgeable in film and theater, and all things nerdy. Does making up songs about my dog count as an expertise? Ha ha! I started in June of 2022 at A to Z and I love being a part of this team.

My hometown is McKinleyville. I am here because I like helping people in a unique way. I enjoy the happy face people make when they put on glasses for the first time or when they find cute glasses. Changing lives in little ways, like helping people read clearly again brings me joy. My personal goal is to collect as many skills as possible, a renaissance woman. My professional goal is similar to my personal one: collecting as many skills as possible to improve people’s lives. My hobbies include watching movies, playing video games, and cuddling with my cat. I’m great at multitasking, being efficient and I’m good at organizing systematically. I really like doing makeup and matching my eyeshadow to my fun earrings. I started at A to Z over a year ago, in June of 2022.

I am from Southern California. My philosophy is I like to make everyone happy, this is true at home too, the fire-douser, ha ha. My personal goal is to master what I currently do. My professional goal is to do the best I can do. I dabble a lot in stuff, I do like to try and paint, I organized our first A to Z paint night, crafty things I like to do like sewing and I like to tinker with things. I started A to Z in 2003 just after moving up here from getting married. My expertise includes solving puzzles. Good at explaining things.

My hometown is Eureka. Being at A to Z gives me the ability to provide excellent care to our community. I love getting to know our patients and seeing familiar faces year after year. Professionally, working with contact lens patients is what my passion is in the optometric field, especially scleral and hard-to-fit contacts. Personally, my husband and I are business owners, we are small but strong. In my free time, I enjoy gardening, crafting, and heading out in our RV for a relaxing weekend. I am so glad to say I have been with A to Z since 2008!

I like opportunities for extended education. I like to always be learning something new and there are a lot of educational opportunities provided here. Serving a community that is really impacted by a lack of access, that is a perk of working here, being able to provide medical help. My hometown is Fallbrook, California, a teeny tiny Southern California town. A professional goal is to be a certified contact lens fitting expert. A personal goal is extensive world travel, South East Asia and Europe are on the list. My hobbies include foraging, especially for mushrooms! Travel and cooking. Roller Derby, Roller Derby, Roller Derby! Art! Sculpting, painting, and textile arts. Animals of all kinds, especially cats! I started in Spring of 2019 at A to Z.
